ABOUT US

The first Kapunda Farm Fair was held in 1999.  Since then they have been held bi-annually; however, it has been decided to run two years in succession to get into a different cycle and then revert to a bi-annual basis.  Hence one in both 2007 & 2008.

2008 President's Message

COME VISIT KAPUNDA!!

Kapunda is just a short drive from Adelaide and is the home of the first significant copper mine in Australia’s history.  So, why not spend Show Weekend at Kapunda and explore the many heritage-listed buildings, which include churches, miners’ cottages, the old courthouse, police station and Sir Sidney Kidman residences.

Kapunda Museum is housed in a magnificent building constructed in 1866 and features extensive displays.

Kapunda has a number of excellent parks and reserves, “The Pines” park which is just a short drive from town, Gundry’s Hill Lookout, plus of course, “Map Kernow”, the eight metre high bronze statue constructed as a tribute to the miners.
